About Camp at The Arc
The Arc Mid-Michigan’s summer day camp is designed for teens and adults, ages 12 and up, with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
At camp, everyone will have fun while making new friends, building new skills, and growing their independence. Give your loved one an experience that will last a lifetime! This experience is built around the wonderful qualities of our members. It gives them the opportunity to focus on their various abilities rather than their disabilities. We accomplish this by showing our participants their potential. Camp provides them with opportunities to influence their community and see the impact that they have made by becoming contributing citizens.
As a result, our community will also become more aware, accepting, and welcoming of those that have unique and different abilities. Community inclusion is part of our summer camp activities. Camp participants will expand their current abilities, discover new and improve upon skills, explore their natural leadership abilities, as well as learn to display, support, and accept leadership skills within themselves as well as their peers.

Field Trips: Family members are more than welcome to come with us on our field trips. Family and friends that join us on the field trip will be asked to pay for their own way into the facility and will be asked to provide their own transportation, due to the limited seating on the SATA busses.
Family Picnic: On the last day of summer camp, we want to invite you to our picnic. This is our way of saying “thank you” to our participants, family members, volunteers, and friends that helped to make camp possible.
